BRITISH/FRENCH WWI BINOCULARS.

A highly unusual pair of small capacity binoculars, being British issued French contract binoculars, the makers details Huet Paris on top of right frame, on the back of each frame are two very nicely engraved nickel plaques etched with distances from 100 to 1200 m and with on the left the figure of a French infantryman in full battle equipment with the right one showing a French Cavalryman on a horse with the same aiming distances, some of the leather covering missing from part of the frame which has been repainted in black, the original neck strap in place but shortened considerably, optics a little cloudy.
