Binoculars are the scarce pair of the pre-1914 privately purchased German binoculars by the company Goerz, these binoculars were purchased by wealthy British officers prior to World War I, they are the 10 X model, the left top of the frame maker marked faintly having a centre vertical and horizontal adjusting wheels, the brown leather case covered with British khaki serge, with a wide brown strap for fitting to the British Sam Browne belt on the reverse side, connecting straps between the lid and the base broken, some light moth damage to the khaki serge, optics perfect.
