GERMAN WWII SS MODEL 33 ENLISTED MANS DAGGER.
A nice early version, the blade retains a good degree of original cross grain polishing with some minor staining visible. Maker marked ‘Robert Klaas, Solingen’. All the dark base to the motto etching still in place. Heavy nickel upper and lower grip fittings with the lower grip fitting being marked ( horizontally) with roman numeral ‘I’. The ebony wood grip generally in good condition, a few minor indentations. The enamel to the SS inset excellent with a good quality national eagle. The scabbard of the blued variety has a small degree of the blueing left with some rust bleed showing through, mainly on the reverse side. One very minor indentation to the scabbard on the face side 5cm above the lower scabbard mount. The mounts themselves, again heavy nickel, nice condition with only one very minor indentation to the ball on the lower scabbard mount.
