GERMAN WWII SS OBERSTURMBANNFUHRER KARL SCHULZ DOCUMENT GROUPING.

From the Estate of Karl Schulz SS Obersturmbannfuhrer, Karl Schulz born February 7th 1905 died February 2nd 1989. An early right wing activist Schulz joined the Freikorps Marine Brigade Erhardt in 1920, he was an activist in the early days of the NSDAP and came into conflict with the French Occupational Authorities in the Ruhr area. He was one of the founder members of the NSDAP in Gruppe Hamm and later became a member of the SA. He was promoted and demoted a number of times in the late 1920’s and early 30’s and in June 1932 after joining the SS Schulz was dismissed from the full time occupation as a police officer. He finally reached the rank of SS Obersturmbannfuhrer and was leader of the 19th SS Regiment, he also sat as a deputy in the Reichstag. In 1938 to 1940 he was leader in the Polish Lotz Getto, NSDAP Party Member 22,175, which is a very low number, SS membership number 15,838 also low. Approximately in 2010 a large quantity of his Estate was discovered in Germany, this was all split including some uniform parts and we obtained a large quantity of the documentation. We have been gradually selling the documentation off over the past few years and have the last 55 documents remaining. Looking through the documents it can be seen that Schulz was a totally dedicated admirer of Adolf Hitler and to the aims of the NSDAP Party. What remains available here are various letters to and from Schulz from a mixture of local Gauleiters and Gau areas, letters to him as the leader in Litzmannstadt, many hand written sheets in Schulz hand, a few post war dated documents and letters, probably no more than three, a headed letter from SS Oberabschnitt Mitte dated November 1935, various small patriotic postcards, letters on the Reichstag headed paper dated 1934, quite a number of propaganda leaflets, hand written envelopes, one 1941 dated copy of a letter regarding the requisitioning of a house in the area of Litsmannstadt, another 1942 letter regarding the raising a local Volksturm unit, interesting postcard of Dr. Robert Ley, the postcard being issued by the Ordensberg Political Training School at Sonthofen in 1937, a full hand written letter and envelope from Schulz.
