BRITISH WWI TRENCH WADERS.
An extremely difficult piece of equipment to obtain for the British soldier or officer of World War I are the canvas leggings known as trench waders, as World War I progressed and it became apparent of the terrible wet conditions within the trenches these canvas waders were issued to all ranks, many images can be seen of the waders being worn and would be an ideal piece of equipment to dress to a trench mannequin, constructed in a thin rubber, a nice maker’s mark to the interior with clear date 1918, and attached broad arrow marked paper label, they are matched pair each wader having the identical markings and labels and both marked size 5.
