GERMAN WWI UNUSUAL FIGHTING KNIFE.

A scarce variant of the WWI German trench knife having a 15cm blade marked ‘1914 Feldzug 1915’. Some slight evidence of sharpening but generally good, with its wood ribbed grip. Overall length of the knife 26.5cm, which is longer than the standard length fighting knife. Fitted into its black painted scabbard with good strong leather belt loop and hilt retaining strap with its male/female closing stud present and working correctly. Good paint finish remaining although slight bubbling from underlying rust.
