A rare complete set of insignia shoulder straps for the uniform tunic of the first woman’s military unit ever formed for the British Forces, the Woman’s Auxiliary Army Corps. Semi pear shaped in construction, red central band with khaki sides. At the base of each shoulder board embroidered letters in white on khaki ‘W.A.A.C’. One patch has suffered from moth damage, with both of their slip-on tabs.
