GERMAN WWII LUFTWAFFE SHIPS CLOCK.

A very unusual variation of the Kriegsmarine ships clock used in a Luftwaffe flak ship. Standard face , in complete working order. To the left hand side of the centre is the Luftwaffe eagle with either side having the letters ‘F.L.SCH.’ this abbreviation is for a Flak Artillery ship. A very minor attempt has been made to de-nazify the swastika below but it is still visible. The brass body has been removed from the back of the clock and the clock has been mounted in what appears to be a British marked French wood propeller and mounted on four brass stands. The propeller has various markings with ‘130 HP CLERGET’ with British Air Ministry markings just to the right of the opening catch of the clock itself on the face. The movement is marked ‘12617’ and is reached by a sliding wood opening placed on the back of the propeller boss, we can only theorise that this was a WWI British marked French made propeller captured during WWII and the clock mounted under the occupation. A rare scarcely marked ships clock. All mounted on a wood base.
