GERMAN WWI ENLISTED RANKS PICKELHAUBE COVER.

A very good condition pickelhaube cover with faint green numbers of number ‘11’ stencilled to the face side, the stitching outline of previously applied stitched numbers of ‘62’ still visible by turning the cover inside out, he numbers have been removed and been re-stencilled number ‘11’. All five of the helmet fitting hooks are present. To the left hand side of the number to the cover a line of stitching reveals that the original owner has made the cover slightly smaller to fit his helmet in a more snug manner. We have test fitted this cover to various helmets in our stock and would estimate it would comfortably fit a helmet between the size of 54 and 56.
