GERMAN WWII GERMAN CROSS IN GOLD. CASED.

A very nice example of a number ‘20’ marked Zimmermann & Company produced German Cross in gold, classic construction, four domed hollow rivets, wide tapering pin, original hook and hinge. Good gilt remaining to the 1941 dated wreath. Excellent enamels. All of the black finish remaining to the ray and virtually all the silver finish to the star behind the ray. All of the red enamel to the disc underneath the ‘41’ dated wreath intact. Fitted in its original gold lined box, some slight scuffing to the edges of the box and an imprint to the upper inner lid of the wreath of the award.
