BRITISH WWI 1902 PATTERN OFFICERS CLOSED COLLAR CUFF RANK TUNIC.

A scarce tunic being the 1902 pattern, four pockets all with flaps, the two upper pockets with pleats. Two intertwined khaki shoulder boards fixed to the tunic with General Service buttons, having the King’s crown to all the buttons. Matching closure buttons to the front of the tunic with slight wear. One upper right hand pocket button missing. The collar badges that were fitted have been removed and three holes remain on each collar point. Captains cuff rank lace to the base of both sleeves. Slight moth damage to the base of the upper right hand pocket. Minor nicks to the right hand sleeve and one slightly larger moth hole to the rear centre panel. The original Hobson & Sons label still affixed with, by hand, the name ‘Captain S.H.’ with the family name slightly rubbed and obscured but could possibly be Lawson, with the date ‘April 1911’ clear.
