GERMAN WWI PRUSSIAN HUSSAR REGIMENT 14 ENLISTED RANKS ATTILA.
A fabulous condition Prussian 14th Hussars Atilla, originally purchased by Regimentals from Marshall Daut and was included in our book Field Grey Uniforms & Imperial German Army 1907 to 1918 on page 173. This is a textbook example of an enlisted mans depot issued field grey Hussar tunic, known as the Atilla. Standard field grey heavy duty cloth with field grey lace. The tunic has all its correct closure olives, no moth anywhere on the tunic. Standard configuration of two lower angled pockets with plain dome buttons. The blue and white intertwined lace epaulettes with regimental number ‘14’ attached, Prussian buttons securing the epaulettes. In one of the lower pockets it a plastic container holding two company numbered buttons for Company No.2. With the tunic is the original label from the Marshall Daut collection identifying the tunic as number 172 in his collection. To the interior it has the largest regimental marking we have ever seen, initially at the top of the lining the army corps marking of ‘B.A.X.’ ( Army Corps 10) size stampings and a very large block ‘H.14’. Collectors will remember that in the early 2000,s we purchased the complete collection of Marshall Daut from Pheonix Arizona and whilst in our possession we produced the aforementioned field grey uniform book, authored by Michael Baldwin and Malcolm Fisher. A fabulous tunic. More extensive, extra images can be seen on our new Premium website, type in regimentalsmilitaria.co.uk in to your web browser.
