GERMAN WWII POLICE BAYONET.

From a collection originally acquired in the Channel Islands of Great Britain, all were purchased in the 1970’s. Excellent condition blade, double trademark of Alexander Koppel of Solingen on one side with the ‘ACS’ over the Scales of Justice on the opposite side. The blade is absolutely perfect but slightly loose on its tang. Good deep detail to the eagle’s head, with its stag grips and its police insignia. On the reverse side of the cross guard the unit markings of ‘S.AR.1.758.’ The scabbard is in excellent condition, the brown leather good and strong, not congealed, supple. Good finish to both the upper and lower scabbard fittings, with its original leather frog, with the unit marking on the upper part of the scabbard mount ‘S.KA.II.45.’.
