GERMAN WWII KRIEGSMARINE OFFICERS DAGGER.

From a collection originally acquired in the Channel Islands of Great Britain, all were purchased in the 1970’s. A very nice Kriegsmarine officers dagger, mint blade by Eickhorn having all of its standard naval etching to the double fullered central panel. Original leather washer. Minor cracking on the face side of the celluloid grip, which is still complete with its grip wire. Good definition to the upper pommel, with the swastika nice and clear. Good remains of gilt to the central cross guard. The scabbard, which has the standard pattern of engraving has one minor depression, not a dent, 1/3rd up from the base of the scabbard. Both scabbard rings intact, no other damage. Traces of gilt in the lower field remaining. The dagger is a good tight fit with its press button fitting into the scabbard.
