GERMAN WWII NORMANDY CAMOUFLAGE M40 COMBAT HELMET.

A barn recovered M40 helmet, unfortunately corrosion to the metal has made it impossibly to read the size stampings on the interior skirt or the manufacturer. The batch number, although clearer is illegible. The helmet has been stored and corrosion has built up both on the side skirt and on one side of the helmet, it has probably been laying on its side for many years, however a good degree of the Normandy camouflage of brown, tan and green is still visible. The helmet has its original lining, with its original drawstring, one tongue is completely missing and another is very loose but still intact. The helmet also still has its original chinstrap fitted. We estimate the size to be possibly a 56 liner size. A nice interesting barn find Normandy helmet.
