A highly interesting catalogue May 1992 in which Christies sold the complete collection of the Forman family collection Archive of Crime & Punishment including many items that belonged to the British official hangman Albert Pierpoint . 24 pages including lot 147 which was the execution diary of Albert Pierpoint, which include many of the German War criminals hanged at Hamelin prison Many other items of Pierpoint himself, some of which Regimentals purchased including a hangmans rope of official pattern. Anybody interested in crime and punishment of the 20th century would be interested in this catalogue.
