GERMAN WWII SS TOTENKOPF COLLAR PATCHES.

A very well worn service used and removed from tunic pair of collar patches for the Totenkopf units, this is a variation skull known as the pirate skull, excellent examples shown on page 52 of the very good work, Insignia and Artefacts of the Waffen SS by Michael D.Beaver, these are constructed on ribbed material, at one stage in their life they appear to have been glued to the collectors display board the original stitches remaining where removed from tunic.
