The scope complete with its mount and brown leather lens caps, high quality example by a leading maker, marked Dr Walter Gerrard Charlottenberg, marked number 20541 under the upper adjuster wheel, further marked GEW 737 to the side of the body which should be the number of the gun it was attached to, the connecting leather that holds the two end caps together has broken away from one end.
