GERMAN 1870 FRANCO PRUSSIAN WAR PICKLEHAUBE.

An extremely good example of the 1870. worn picklehaube belonging to a Prussian enlisted man reservist, the leather body generally thicker than the later World War I helmets in superb condition, all of the fittings matching in colour, the chin scales are the correct flat type for infantry, the later type of Prussian and national cockade in terms of size have been added to the helmet but in period , to the interior the nine tongued leather liner all complete with good colour and its original drawstring.
