GERMAN WWII LUFTWAFFE HERMAN GOERING DIVISION VISOR CAP.
A very fine example of the Luftwaffe enlisted mans or NCO visor cap for the Herman Goering division, stamped size 56 to the interior, excellent nap to the Luftwaffe blue grey cloth, one moth nip just below the crown waffenfarbe to the left hand side of the Luftwaffe Eagle. The waffenfarbe overall being in white, fitted to the crown and the upper and lower sections of the mohair centre band, a matched set of untouched Luftwaffe Eagle and cockade, double buckle strap, standard double ribbed edge visor, to the interior very bright colour to the light tan sweatband with evidence of minor wear use in the forehead area, the interior lining is of two tones of the russet brown brushed cotton, dated 1938 below the centre celluloid lozenge which is complete and undamaged, the full silver blocked maker’s name of G.A.Hoffman Berlin bright and clear below the celluloid, the orange cushion behind the forehead area of the sweatband has solidified and broken away faint traces remain.
