Any of the Luftwaffe services other than the normal flight, flak, and signal section caps are considered rare, within that group of other waffenfarbe colours is the light apple green of the Luftwaffe Field Divisions which is undoubtedly the hardest to obtain. This very fine condition non size stamped but on test we believe size 56, Erel produced, very nice private purchase quality Luftwaffe material, with the light apple green waffenfarbe . No moth to any part of the cap, the green piping standing proudly from the Luftwaffe blue grey to the crown and the upper and lower sections of the mohair centre band, one or two minor nicks to the mohair, fitted with a set of matching Luftwaffe Eagle and cockade in bright aluminium, standard double buckle strap, the fibre peak of the standard double ribbed variety commonly found on nearly all Luftwaffe caps both officers and men’s. To the interior the mid tan leather sweatband all intact, the leather is soft and supple showing considerable wear use, the inner crown lining in gold satin, with a complete centre celluloid lozenge which is stained considerably and having faint traces of the Erel trademark below the celluloid.
