GERMAN WWII AFRIKAKORPS PANZER SENIOR NCO DER SPEISS 1ST PATTERN COMBAT TUNIC.

A rare and excellent quality Afrikakorps 1st pattern tunic, probably the best we have ever had. Good upper medium size. A full compliment of stampings to the inner lining. Standard configuration of a 1st pattern with four patch pockets all with pleats. The tunic has been retailored for the NCO Sunday best, the lower pockets have had the bellows taken out and stitched directly to the tunic. The cuff adjustments have been stitched in place with the cuffs slightly shortened. All of the buttons are of the removable type. The insignia fitted is a rare set of Panzer pink piped silk shoulder boards with golden tropical NCO tress and two rank stars, with the addition of two rows of tropical Der Speiss lace rank to the lower sleeves elevates this NCO to the rank of Der Speiss. Matching tropical collar lace, factory fitted Bevo woven collar patches, the correct Bevo woven 1st pattern breast eagle. To the lower left sleeve as the tunic is viewed the block capital AFRIKAKORPS cuff title is fitted. To the upper right breast three sets of loops for three awards, two shorter loops above the pocket for a medal ribbon bar. Iron Cross ribbon to the 2nd buttonhole. A magnificent Panzer Der Speiss tropical tunic.
