GERMAN WWII KRIEGSMARINE TROPICAL PITH HELMET.

The standard form of tropical pith helmet issued to the Kriegsmarine, it should be remembered that every arm of the armed forces, including the Navy, Luftwaffe and Army all had different colours for the tropical pith helmets, this is in the classic light tan of the Kriegsmarine that has toned further. The skull is made of cork with six panels overlaid in the light tan material. White leather edging to the helmet, with its original chinstrap and its large widespread winged very detailed gilded eagle. To the interior the inner dome is lined in red with the underside of the helmet lined in the mid olive colour of the army pith helmets, with a narrow cream virtually unused condition leather sweatband.
