GERMAN WWII PANZER PIONEER REGT OFFICERS OVERSEAS CAP.

A rare overseas cap for an officers in the Pz Pioneer Regt, denoted by the rare black and white soutache insignia, Cap is very battle worn with much loss of nap to the cloth, fraying and wear to the officer grade bullion piping. Officer level eagle in bevo is well worn, bullion style roundel, the same. The cap has moth nips to each side skirt and one at the rear. Interior black cotton lining has a shinny silky appearance due to hair grease, sweat or general wear. No marking or stamps present, half of forehead leather guard remains to the front brow. A very salty well used cap.
