GERMAN WWII LUFTWAFFE TROPICAL M43 FIELD CAP.

A fair size, probably size 57 tropical cap in light tan material. What we refer to, in the collector community as a 'one looker' ! This is a great, 'been there' example having supple, well used cloth. The paper cloth material inside the peak has degraded over time, and the feel of mashed card type material inside the peak can be felt, the peak however retains its shape and appealing look. No air vents present, typical of the Luftwaffe field caps. The tropical insignia is totally standard issue, hand applied as expected and certainly period applied. No markings inside, again as expected with one of this privately made caps.
