GERMAN WWII LUFTWAFFE WAR SCHOOL PRE WAR TUNIC.
A 1939 dated four pocket tunic of good proportions, worn by an Obergefreiter in the Luftwaffe War School. One small moth hole to the right hand sleeve, one above the lower left hand pocket flap. A patched repair moth damage next to the lowest closure button. Excellent nap overall. One more moth hole on the fold of the open style collar. Fantastic quality material, all original nap present. The insignia fitted of a set of stitch in yellow wool piped shoulder boards with very fine embroidered lettering ‘KS’ indicating Kriegs Schule (War School). Heavy yellow twisted cord piping to the collar. Obergefreiter’s yellow wool collar patches with three gulls to each patch. Machine embroidered Luftwaffe breast eagle. Obergefreiter patch to the right hand sleeve. Loops for one award. Deep barrel cuffs, one rear vent. To the interior is a fully compliment of size stampings on the Luftwaffe style blue grey cotton lining material, also Luftwaffe acceptance stamped ‘L.B.A.(S).39’.
