GERMAN WWII GERMAN CROSS IN GOLD SERVICE WORN IDENTIFIED.

Number 20 marked German cross in Gold produced by the company of CF Zimmerman which has been awarded to a Feldwebel Hoet of the 39th infantry division. The gilt to the 1941 dated wreath dull, the majority of the finish to the black ray still good and deep within the lower field, the highpoints slightly rubbed, the enamel of the black swastika undamaged with slight scratches to the highest point of the central swastika. On the reverse side the standard number 20 wide tapering pin with its original hook and hinge all present, four standard hollow rivetts, hand applied to the left hand side of the award is the inscribed details of the owner ,our spelling of Hoet is our interpretation of the engraving it may prove to be slightly different on further investigation.
