A very fine example of a 1st edition 1985 1st printing of this excellent work on the history of the German helmet. Still used by many as the bible of German helmet information and still heavily used by collectors world-wide. This example virtually as new, minor indentations to the corners of the spine otherwise perfect. On the first page an original dollar price has been written. 441 pages of excellent black and white photographs and a huge amount of text and information. This was originally published as a softback in German and republished in the United States by the well known Bender Publishing House, there are also many colour photographs in this work.
