BRITISH GRENADIER GUARDS SERGEANT MAJORS MODEL 22 TUNIC.

A highly unusual tunic being the standard four pocket model 22 tunic, which is a follow on from the 1902 pattern tunic of WWI but with only one seam below the collar instead of the WWI version with two seams. Large size, with a set of very unusual insignia of the Grenadier Guards. All Grenadier Guards regimental buttons. Cap badge of the Grenadier Guards to each shoulder board with the letters ‘GG’ below. On each sleeve is the huge and very impressive arm badge of the Regimental Sergeant Major, one moth hole close to the edge of one of these badges, very tiny moth nips on other parts but nothing too serious. Marked to the interior canvas lining ‘0’ over ‘WD’ over ‘593’. The regimental badges alone are valued at £100 each, both with King’s crown.
