Black japanned tin, no markings on the exterior with the exception of the Royal cypher of crow over ‘GR’ to the front in decal form. On opening the lid a list of all the contents with the date below of ‘9/39’. Headed ‘Medical First Aid Outfit, List of Contents’, all of the contents appear to be in place. This is a double tray boxed set, on lifting out the upper tray the lower compartment full of bandages is visible. The triangular bandages are marked ‘March 1939’. A very nice display item for a Home Front exhibition or museum.
