BRITISH WWI TANK CORPS OFFICERS UNIFORM.
A rare uniform of World War I being a depot issued Trousers, tunic and cap of a lieutenant in the newly formed Tank Corps. standard cuff rank tunic with one wound stripe to the lower right sleeve ,A battalion dark red slip ons to the shoulder boards, these are held to the shoulder boards by a very rusty safety pin on both sides, when lifting the Red slip ons and different shade to the Khaki cloth can clearly be seen, proving that these slip ons have always been in situ, Military Cross ribbon to upper right breast, when withdrawing the right-hand sleeve out of the tunic the letter A over 1917 is revealed stamped into the white cotton lining, all buttons of the Leather football style, no moth anywhere to the tunic or staining. Accompanied by the straight leg trousers also dated 18 to 1 of the pocket bags, original braces attached .A small size floppy trench cap with its correct chinstrap, universal pattern Kings crown side buttons, Tank Corps Officers Bronze badge, the interior is completely circular multi-stitched, over 1918 plus a letter A applied, minor moth holes at the rear overhang of the cap. Accompanying the aforementioned is a light tan leather short waistcoat style collarless jacket identical in leather colour and in blanket lining to RFC flying clothing.
