GERMAN WWII LUFTWAFFE OXYGEN MASK.

this is very good example from the HM 51 family of masks, these are more often than not designated 10/67, the early models tended to be designated HM 51. Leather to the main body of the mask good, clearly marked with the maker AUER HM 51., The leather section that surrounds the face has been either eaten away by a rodent on the left hand side or rotted away for some unknown reason, complete with its original elasticated flying helmet attachment strap, its long hose, the correct nozzle is attached to attach to the aircraft oxygen supply system, and the sprung loaded clip, that allows the mask hose to be clipped to the flying jacket or suit when not in use. Some light degrading of the rubber hose where it attaches to the main mask, it is not in danger of breaking, but care should be taken when handling. Some years ago a quantity of these masks were found buried in Czechoslovakia, the majority were unsalvageable but some were salvaged and restored with new parts. We stress that this is NOT one of those ground dug masks and is totally original.
