FRENCH WWI COLONIAL CORK HELMET.

An all cork Colonial helmet worn by French forces in their colonies. The six panelled white material covering all intact, some discoloration. A marking to the front where the original strap was placed over the brim of the cork helmet, strap now missing, Original sweatband. Paper lined with a double size manufacturers label to the interior, both in French and English. The maker or retailer is Leon Schweitzer in Algiers.
