BRITISH WWII BRODIE HOME FRONT HELMET.

A superb Home Front helmet for a senior air raid warden with single black stripe, which was the rank marking system adopted nationally from the earlier London system as of 1942. The helmet is one of the earliest Mark 2 1939 issue in khaki factory paint, over-painted in black on the outside and then white before being applied with rank markings . The liner system is ‘Vero’ marked with the cradle dated ‘1939’. Some rust bleed to the white paint of the helmet. Attached to the helmet is a very nice fully descriptive label completed by the previous owner of this helmet.
