BRITISH WWI 1902 PATTERN ROYAL WELSH FUSILIERS TUNIC.
A service worn totally untouched 1902 pattern British combat tunic worn by a Cpl in the Royal Welsh Fusiliers, nap to cloth thin, three small moth holes to the upper rear panel, one large tear to the material underneath the left hand armpit , all of the buttons of the regimental pattern with the exception of one lower pocket button being a replacement , to the shoulder boards the flaming grenade with the title RWF below, flaming grenade collar badges, a green company lanyard, marksmanship cross rifles to the lower right-hand sleeve as the tunic is viewed, to the interior lower pocket 2 separate wearers names have been applied, one using a ink stamp, the other hand applied, a third set of initials added in indelible green ink to 1 of the portions of the interior lining, indicating the tunic may have been worn by three different wearers, the congealed remains of the paper label evident.
