A good Q 64 shell over painted Luftwaffe M35 double decal, although the 1940 regulations called for the removal or over painting of the national tricolour in this instance the ordnance depot has over painted both decals, a good coating of Luftwaffe blue grey paint has been hand applied, some traces of the original Luftwaffe blue paint remaining to the liner retaining aluminium rivet heads, and all the original Luftwaffe blue grey intact to the inner shell, both decals are clearly visible below the covering paint. To the interior the 1938 dated aluminium frame with matching dated chinstrap all intact, some wear use obvious to the liner no damage . Batch number 20747 stamped into rear skirt. A nice original typed descriptive label from the previous owner of this helmet still attached.
