GERMAN WWII PANZER GRENADIER DOUBLE EREL OFFICERS VISOR CAP.

A rare cap being a double Erel marked huge size, possibly 60 Panzer Grenadier officers visor cap constructed in very nice quality grey green cloth. Light apple green Panzer Grenadier piping to the saddle shaped crown also to the upper and lower sections of the dark green centre band. Fitted with a matched set of army bullion wire eagle and cockade with standard officers cap cords and silver side buttons. To the interior the Erel sweatband all intact with obvious wear use. ‘Erel’ silver stamped to the side of the sweatband. The original owner’s initials of ‘TD’ in letters applied to the sweatband. To the centre lozenge silver stamped ‘Erel Kleiderkasse’ underneath the celluloid. Slight degrading of the upper inner lining material, interestingly below the celluloid lozenge and to one small section at the side of the lozenge. Approximately 1cm length of stitching loose in the forehead area of the sweatband.
