BRITISH BOER WAR FOREIGN SERVICE HELMET.

A very nice condition all cork Foreign Service helmet, worn by an enlisted man in South Africa. All white soft Melton body covering the cork, green lined to the interior body with canvas lined inner bowl. Complete with its khaki field service cover, leather strap. To the interior of the helmet two individual printed labels, which read ‘PART WORN’ with what appears to be one or two different wearers names pencilled in to one of the canvas panels to the interior. Sweatband complete, which has lost some of its skin but all intact with its cork cushion that runs between the liner and the green inner lining.
