BRITISH WWII MARK III 1944 TURTLE HELMET.
First issued in 1943 to Canadian forces and first used in action on D-Day 1944 by the Canadians. This example having one dent to the rear crown, all original wartime paint finish present, to the interior a series of numbers which is probably the soldiers service number painted into the rear skirt, complete standard Brodie type liner marked BMB 1944, with its elasticated chinstrap.
