ITALIAN WWI AVIATORS LEATHER FLYING HELMET.
A rare piece of aviation headdress from World War I, the helmet used by the Italian aviators, all leather padded central bowl, with a cruciform covering of padded leather, and extra thickness crash pad around the exterior, the ear coverings slightly frail, complete with its original chinstrap and buckle, inner lining having the original owners initials of NP, and maker’s gilded label to the upper inner crown, Sanatti Roma, being the maker.
