GERMAN WWI IRON CROSS FRAMED DISPLAY.
A 93 cm x 33 cm glazed and framed display, central photograph studio portrait of Prussian enlisted man wearing the 1910 pattern field grey tunic and Pickelhaube, with either side a badly moth damaged set of epaulettes for Prussian regiment 161, below the photograph a nice example of the Iron Cross second class with ribbon, to the left hand side of the photograph the citation to Musiker Blum as a member of the 5th company infantry regiment 161, awarding him the Iron Cross second class as a member of the 185th infantry division on the 26th of November 1917. To the right-hand side of the photograph a map of the battle of the Somme 1916 showing the position of the 161st Regiment.
