GERMAN WWI WURTTEMBERG REGIMENT 122 FELMUTZE, MINT UNISSUED.

Part of a small quantity we obtained some years ago, which was a mixture of Wurttemberg and Prussian feldmutzes, this is one of the untouched Wurttemberg examples. Standard field grey, no moth damage to the hat, a slight bit of moth tracking in one small spot but no actual moth holes. Standard red centre band, red piped to the crown with both the national and Wurttemberg State cockades. To the interior it is profusely stamped with the size ‘61’, which is huge for that period. The maker of ‘Wilhelm Bounz’. Army Corps marked of ‘B.A.XIII’ which is the 18th Army Corps with date ‘1916’ with a large black stamp of ‘F.R.122, which is Wurttemberg Infantry Regiment 122. The crease across the top of the crown is where they had been folded for close to 100 years until they were found. We do have another one of our site at the moment, which is a size 54. We sold this at actual piece about 5 years ago and we have re-purchased it. Because of the enormous size of this hat it is priced accordingly.
