GERMAN WWII ARMY OFFICER BAROUQUE PATTERN RICHARD HERDER SWORD.

A magnificent example of the very scarce to obtain army officers sword by Richard Herder, known as the Barouque hilt. Full length blade with its full Richard Herder trademark just below the rear langet in excellent condition. Superb gilt to the Barouque style hilt with both red jewelled eyes in the head. Undamaged grip with its original silver grip wire. Frosted highlights to some of the edges of the hilt. Good clear eagle and swastika. Fitted into its original scabbard which has a few minor blemishes but is generally close to mint.
