An extremely nice condition huge size, possibly 61 or 62 Captains and above visor cap for the Kriegsmarine. No moth anywhere to the removable blue top, high quality material, fitted with a completely matching Gold wire set of national eagle, national cockade and the captain’s rank braid to the leather edged peak. Standard naval style strap. Anchor side buttons with good gilt. Classic Navy shape, to the interior totally blue lined showing heavy wear use around the undamaged non maker marked centre celluloid lozenge. The mid tan leather sweatband all intact, again matching evidence of wear use. The initials ‘CG’ hand applied to the inner side of the leather sweatband in two places, having those initials could institute a limited form of research into the name of the officer.
