GERMAN WWI SOLDIERS GAS MASK.

A good clean example of the soldiers gas mask of WWI. The field grey green painted filter retaining stamped date in ink, applied designations and dates, one date of 26 March 17. Some slight rust to the upper part of the filter but the majority of the paintwork to the mask edges and the filter itself remaining. The leather face mask is good, eyepieces undamaged, all blue coloured elasticated head strapping complete. The remains of the paper labelling in the very base of the container. All catches complete. All suspension strapping missing.
