GERMAN WWII AKRIKAKORPS SIGNAL 1st PATT FIELD CAP.

A Size 55 Afrikakorps field cap by Frankstein, dated 1942. constructed in the familiar mustard yellow cloth, the cap is completely untouched and totally text book for this maker, The tropical bevo insignia is the correct style used by Frankenstein and applied in the standard format for this maker being both eagle and roundel hand stitched on. The soutache is lemon yellow for Signals and factory applied. All but one air vent have lost the enamel paint covering. some rust staining to the peak and genuine age and wear overall including the standard red cotton lining which carried clear stamping for maker, size and date.
