A very nice condition possibly size 60 Panzer officers visor cap, double Erel marked, with its Erel lower vented central cockade, the highest quality cloth has been used in the construction of this cap, no moth damage anywhere, nap of cloth superb, good bright pink waffenfarbe, fitted with a matching set of stamped aluminium national eagle and the Erell vented cockade, standard officers cap cords. This is a mid to late war Erel construction a substitute leather Ersatz sweatband has been used, clearly silver Erell stamped to the sweatband, some slight loss of lettering to the silver Erell trademark below the centre celluloid lozenge, as well as the Erel trademark below the lozenge the remains of a Vienna retailer are evident, all gold interior lining, some minor creases to the ersatz style sweatband, a folded section of paper has been placed beneath the sweatband to make the cap a slightly snugger fit for the wearer, high saddle shape.
