GERMAN WWII RAD PIONEER PORCELAIN FIGURE.
One of the most outstanding porcelain figurines for the military and or Political figures of World War II, standing 37.5 cm in height, all white glazed porcelain, Aryan features, carrying the army steel helmet on his hip, gas mask container on opposite hip, wielding a pickaxe, known as the RAD man but could possibly be an Army pioneer soldier. Produced by the Aelteste Volkstedler Porcelain Manufacturers in 1941, maker marked to base, individually marked 233 plus date 1909-1941. Totally undamaged, this figure was produced in two sizes, this is the largest size, also occasionally produced in colour, this example in white. A very impressive piece for the Third Reich collection.
