GERMAN WWI FERNGLAS 08 PASSCHENDAHL SOUVENIR BINOCULARS.

A nice clean set of the official pattern 1908 binoculars, painted in field grey with its brown leather strap, marked ‘Fernglas 08’ with issue number and the manufacturer ‘Goerz Berlin’. The majority of the field grey paint finish remaining, optic excellent. Han engraved around the front left hand lens is the name of a soldier or maybe officer with the date of ‘August 1917. This possibly is part of the battle of Battle of Passchendahl souvenir, after the British Army took 2,600 German prisoners.
