GERMAN WWII MEISSEN TERRACOTTA EAGLE.

The highly impressive eagle identical to that used on the front of one of the SS publications. 28cm in height, 22cm from the eagle’s beak to the back of the neck. A full compliment of Meissen markings to the base including the full name, crossed swords, two sets of numbers. On the back of the neck these Meissen marks again with possibly the designers initials of ‘PW’, definitely of Third Reich period manufacture. A small repair to the eagle’s beak, otherwise undamaged.
